A new weekend has arrived, and it’s a good weekend for a variety of content on Netflix. Here are our top picks for Netflix movies from February 5-6.
There’s something for everyone this weekend. It helps that we had the big first of the month drop during the week. It brought an exciting amount of content and usually means there’s something for the whole family.
When it comes to Netflix original movies, you won’t find that much content. You’ll want to turn to older movies for entertainment. However, there are some shows you’ll want to check out, including Raising Dion and sweet magnolias.
5 Netflix movies you can’t miss this weekend: February 5-6
This list is in alphabetical order. It’s just too hard to compare genres.
The Addams Family
We start with a movie for the whole family. This is the 1991 comedy starring Anjelica Hudson, Christina Ricci and Christopher Lloyd. It’s time to meet the infamous goth family through the eyes of a man claiming to be Gomez Addams’ long-lost brother.
Lloyd plays Fester Addams, the older brother and rightful heir to the house. His despicable mother encourages him to lie in the family and kick the rest of the Addams out. Will he do the right thing and admit it all?
Another of the Netflix movies for the whole family is Despicable Me. The animated film and its sequel are once again on Netflix.
You will be able to see Gru go from bad to good once again. When he decides to steal the moon, he adopts three orphans to help him achieve his goal. What happens when he starts to have feelings for these young girls? Can he be the father they always wanted?
My best friend Anne Franck
Anne Frank is one of the most famous personalities of World War II. Her diary is known all over the world, and in this diary is the mention of her friend Hannah Goslar.
My best friend Anne Franck tells the true story of Anne and Hannah. It begins with their innocent lives turned upside down by the Nazi occupation. We see how the two were separated and their heartbreaking reunion inside the concentration camps.
The other Boleyn girl
The next movie is very loosely based on the story. It is also based on Philippa Gregory’s novel of the same name. It follows Mary Boleyn, her sister Anne and King Henry VIII.
Henry falls in love with Mary Boleyn and she bears him a son – illegitimate but childish, and never recognized in real history. However, Anne wants Henry and she will do anything to make it possible. This includes pushing his sister out. Things don’t quite turn into the fairy tale Anne was hoping for.
The Tinder scammer
Finally, it is a documentary. The Tinder scammer is just what it sounds like. It examines the crimes of the man who defrauded millions of women on Tinder.
This documentary examines how he did it and how he was caught. It’s a chance to understand the red flags on dating platforms to prevent the same thing from happening to you.
