As the weather turns cold, there’s nothing better than snuggling up under a blanket, gathering seasonal snacks and turning on some feel-good movies. Here are 5 of the most heartwarming movies to watch this fall.

Brothers (9/30)

Billy Eichner and Judd Apatow are collaborating to write what may be the first gay romantic comedy to hit mainstream media. In this story, two men strike up a relationship amid the chaos of life and their own commitment issues. Brothers Release scheduled for September 30.

My Father’s Dragon (10/8)

This animated movie arrived on Netflix on October 8th. It is an adaptation of Ruth Stiles Gannett’s beloved 1948 children’s book of the same name. It follows a young boy, Elmer Elevator, as he travels to Wild Island in search of a captive dragon and encounters a number of beasts along the way.

White Bird: A Wonderful Story (10/14)

Based on RC Palacio Auggie and me – a collection of stories exploring the characters of his 2012 novel Wonder – the film follows young Julian as he listens to his grandmother recount her experiences as a young Jewish girl in Nazi-occupied France. The film covers themes of love, companionship and resilience, and promises to be just as inspiring as its predecessor. Wonder. white bird in theaters October 14.

Ticket to Paradise (10/21)

Julia Roberts and George Clooney star as a divorced couple who travel to Bali to try to save their daughter from making the same mistake they did: forced marriage. But as they spend more time together, they wonder if their own marriage was really a mistake after all. This romantic comedy was released on October 21.

Disenchanted (11/24)

Disillusioned continues the story of Princess Giselle, who was last seen happily married in New York at the end of the 2007 Disney film Delighted. Now dissatisfied with city life, Giselle and her family move to the suburbs and inadvertently upset the entire community. Disillusioned is set to hit theaters and on Disney+ on November 24.
