7 Best Netflix Movies To Watch (And 3 To Skip) In June 2022

June is shaping up to be an exciting month for Netflix subscribers with new seasons of Peaky Blinders and The Umbrella Academy on my way. Not to mention the fact that stranger things Volume 1 Season 4 will finally be released this Friday and will give people something to watch throughout the month in preparation for Volume 2, coming July 1st. But what can you expect in terms of Netflix movies in June?

Chris Hemsworth makes a splash on Netflix in June ahead of new Thor movie with two movies coming to the service. In one, he’s an executive producer as his wife Elsa Pataky takes center stage, and in the other, he’ll play a villainous role as a brilliant genius who designs a sinister drug to test on prisoners.

On top of that, Adam Sandler’s sports drama Hustle arrives in June alongside Jennifer Lopez’s feature-length documentary half time and many other hot new movies!

Best Netflix movies in June 2022

Below, we’ll cover all the best Netflix movies coming to the streaming platform in June 2022. As usual, we’ve tried to divide the movies into movies you must watch and those you can skip, but don’t take. it “jumps” to the core because it usually just means that the movie in question might not be interesting to anyone but a specific audience, not that the movie is necessarily evil Or anything!

Watch! With Elsa Pataky and Luke Bracey, Interceptor is an action-packed thriller with a strong message of female empowerment. The film also takes place almost entirely in the same location, which makes the action sequences and the sense of combat crackle with kinetic energy. Plus, it’s always great to see a female-led action movie, and Pataky proves she’s just as capable of her Marvel superhero hubby in this film. Speaking of Hemsworth, he’s also an executive producer.

Watch! I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not a huge fan of Adam Sandler comedies, but I do enjoy him as a dramatic actor. Uncut Gems was excellent and Hustle is a sports drama that promises to stand apart from Sandler.

Besides the comedian, the film also stars Queen Latifah, Ben Foster and Robert Duvall, with LeBron James producing alongside Sandler. Sandler plays failed basketball scout Stanley Sugarman who attempts to revive his career by recruiting a new foreign player for the NBA, without consulting his team first. NBA fans will also want to watch as several NBA stars will feature in the film.

Jennifer Lopez: half-time

To jump! Diehard Jennifer Lopez fans should do not hop on this behind-the-scenes documentary offering an intimate glimpse into the grit and determination that made J.Lo a superstar, but those who don’t listen to much music or know little about Lopez can probably skip this one.

Netflix teases that this film serves as a “kickstart” to the second half of J.Lo’s life as she discusses her evolution as a mother, artist, and Latina. And yes, Ben Affleck is featured.

The wrath of God

To jump! With so many new movies and shows coming out this summer on Netflix, it’s hard to watch it all. We don’t know much about The wrath of God Still, it’s hard to say whether this Argentinian thriller will be worth watching. A woman named Luciana attempts to expose the truth about a famous novelist she worked for when she becomes suspicious of his involvement in her parents’ deaths. A tentative skip for now, but if the plot intrigues you, give it a chance.

spider head

Watch! Before he returns as Thor in the next Thor: Love and Thunderwatch Chris Hemsworth tackle a radically different role in the darkly comedic psychological thriller spider head where he plays the pharmaceutical mastermind behind a state-of-the-art penitentiary.

Instead of sitting behind bars, prisoners held there are given doses of a mind-altering drug intended to control emotions. If you liked seeing Hemsworth’s take on a villain in Bad weather at the El Royaleyou will definitely want to see this movie!

The man from Toronto

To jump! Kevin Hart, Woody Harrelson, Kaley Cuoco and Ellen Barkin lead the cast of this new action comedy with Hart and Harrelson in the lead roles. The storyline is simple, a misfire is forced to team up with an assassin after the two get confused while staying at an Airbnb.

If you like Hart and/or comedies, this one looks like a fun popcorn flick and one of the biggest Netflix movies to get excited about for June. That said, Hart’s humor is often hit or miss with most, so unless you like his movies in general, you might want to skip this one.
