Cowboy Bebop and 8 more new Netflix movies and shows to watch

The holidays are around the corner but not quite here and that means there will be a lot of new content coming in in the weeks to come. This weekend is full of new content and Netflix will be hosting a lot of it. That’s why we’re back with our list of the best new Netflix movies and shows you should be looking for.

This week’s list is diverse as always. We’ve got a comedy special, insane documentary, animated entry, and multiple movie options for you. The long-awaited live-action Cowboy Bebop the series arrived this weekend with the follow-up to the madness that was the original King tiger docuseries. No matter what you are looking for, you will probably find something here.

Last week we didn’t bring you a new list, but that doesn’t mean there was nothing to check out. Movies like Ruth Negga’s Who passed and the starry Red Notice both arrived last week and if you missed them you might want to take a look at them. Who passed currently has a fresh 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and, although the ratings aren’t there for Red NoticeIt’s hard to ignore a movie starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot.

Now let’s come to what’s new for this week.

Best show this week

Between Parasite and Squid game, South Korean movies and shows are very popular right now, so I suggest Hell as your next South Korean watch. Hell is a six part crime / fantasy drama series where angels of death appear one day to claim souls for hell. While some accept this as a religious experience, others are not so sure and decide to investigate what is going on.

This series sounds and looks intense and has received rave reviews so far. I know I personally add it to my watch list.

Best film this week

The best movie of the week could have gone to several of the different options that came out this week, but I’ll stick to tick, tick… Boom! Marking Lin-Manuel Miranda’s directorial debut, check mark, check mark … Boom! is a great option among the many Netflix movies that have arrived this week. With a cast including Andrew Garfield, Alexandra Shipp and Vanessa Hudgens, there are plenty of reasons to register.

Garfield plays a theatrical composer in his late thirties who contemplates life. There’s something about being in your 30s that makes you feel like you’re meant to have figured out your life and feel all of this pressure. Romantic pressures, financial pressures, and pressures from the world also make Garfield’s character question if he’s on the right track. The biographical musical currently has 87% of critics and 95% of audiences ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s hard to beat when it comes to Netflix movies.

What will you be watching this weekend? If we forgot your choice, be sure to let us know!
