Bandai Namco is releasing the first 15 minutes of Eureka Seven: High Evolution online, featuring the opening battle sequence for the new EUREKA movie.
Bandai Namco released the first 15 minutes of EUREKA: Eureka Seven High Evolution ahead of the film premiere to stir up enthusiasm for the final chapter of the trilogy.
The released images, which can be viewed for free on YouTube, show the film’s opening battle sequence and give viewers a glimpse of the story’s heightened tensions. Set 10 years after the end of the previous film, which saw the virtual world created by the alien entity known as Scab Coral merge with the real world, EUREKA shows the world population divided into Green Earth and Blue Earth. The titular Eureka, who has lost her ability to communicate with Scab Coral, is sent on a mission to protect a young girl named Iris as hostilities between the two groups escalate.
The High evolution the trilogy features events that take place both before and after the original 2005 Eureka Seven animated series. While the animated series, its 2012 sequel series Eureka Seven AO and the first two films in the trilogy were all written by veteran screenwriter Dai Satō (Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell: Self-contained complex), EUREKAThe screenplay for was written by trilogy director Tomoki Kyoda (Expelled from paradise, Moribito – Keeper of the Spirit) and screenwriter Yuuichi Nomura (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Global trigger).
Studio BONES, which was involved in the Eureka Seven franchise since its inception, has overseen the animation of the new film. Naoki Satô (Assassination class, Blood-C: The Last Darkness) composed the music, Kenichi Yoshida (Gundam Reconguista in G, Overman King Gainer) designed the characters and Kumiko Sakamoto (My hero university, Noragami) took care of the assembly. Several members of the voice cast from the original animated series reprized their roles for the High evolution trilogy, featuring Kaori Nazuka as Eureka and Ami Koshimizu as Anemone.
EUREKA isn’t the only recent animated film to release its first scenes online for fans to watch for free. Other examples include To free! The final blow, The space battleship Yamato 2205: a new journey – Zensho TAKE OFF and Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Enduring War.
EUREKA: Eureka Seven High Evolution will debut in theaters in Japan on November 26 and in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand sometime in 2022. Other anime titles slated for release in 2022 include Love After World Domination, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, The Greatest Demon Lord is reborn as a typical person and the new seasons of Rise of the Shield Hero, Ancestry of a bookworm and Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club.
